4. Why do we care? What makes your story so damm interesting that people would be willing to give up two hours of their life on it? i think people would care because on one hand you feel sorry for the character because of his bad up bring and emotional childhood but at the same time you don't because what he has become is horrible.

5. What does the character need? I think my character needs a father figure in his life as his father left at a young age.

New Topic - The big six film companies -

The Big 6 studios which control 90% of all films are :
.Warner Brothers
.Paramount
.20th century fox
.Walt Disney Pictures
.Columbia Pictures
.Universal Pictures

Universal pictures is owned by Comcast who are the largest telecoms company in the US. They also own Universal parks and resort as well as providing internet service and phone lines.  They also own a number of channels show in america.

Columbia Pictures was founded in 1918, and began to grow in Hollywood, they were briefly owned by Coca Cola but now are owned by Sony Pictures entertainment, which is a subsidiary of Sony Entertainment which is a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Sony. Sony own a number of companies like Naughty dog (video game developers ) Music centre incorporated, EMI Music Publishing and many many more.

Walt Disney Pictures was founded in 1923 and are currently owned by The Walt Disney Company. Nearly all of Walt Disney Pictures releases are distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture. Walt Disney Company own many many other companies including Lucas Films, Pixar, Touchstone Pictures and many more.

20th Century fox was founded in 1915 and is currently owned by News corp who also own 21st century fox. News Corp own companies such as Sky, Fox Daily Telegraphy and many more.

Warner Brothers Entertainment was found in 1903 and is currently owned by Time warner. Warner brothers are a member of the motion picture association of america. Time Warner own HBO the a amercian TV channel, also own Time inc, IPC media and many more
.

Paramount Pictures was founded in 1911, and is currently owned by Viacom. Paramount pictures are one of the highest grossing movie studios of all time and in 2014 become the first hollywood studio to release all their films in digital only. Viacom own many companies such as MTV films, nickelodeon movies, Atom entertainment and many more.

Having only 6 big movie studios in hollywood has got positives and negatives. Some of the positives are that we can watch high budget films that are good quality, whereas if we just had loads of little companies they would not have the money for a high budget. The big companies have also more time to produce their film and train people. Some negative are the people that own the companies chooses what they want us to see which sometimes means their views on things also because there are only 6 big companies we often see the same type of film over and over again

Channel 21 news Set Design

Set design - Set desiging is a huge part which makes a television news show sucsssful, using the space and the equipment you have to your advantage. Above you can see many different ways in which news show use there space to conduct an interesting set design, which is interesting the the audience, working with ket features, like having windows looking onto london.
We as a production team were inspired by many set designs, from news shows. Below you can see out basic set design.
We took into consideration, the time of day which our news show would be broadcasted, as many morning/day time shows have a more relaxed set, with sofas, and photos on coffee tables. However during the evening, the sets become more formal, with desk and laptops.

Lighting - Lights are a huge part of studios as you want to light the studio well, but keep the light natural, letting the audience feel like the presenters are in a room, and not a studio. Having been in a news studio myself, and seeing the light set ups, i understood that studios use artificial lighting, was lights the studio how the sun would light it. We as a production team have decided to follow the same lighting rule, although we have been given coloured paper to change the lighting colour.
