Location Recce

After you have completed a location release form you have what is called a location recce.
This is kind of like a check list of things you need to have, take, and think about.
You use this so you don't forget anything to bring and makes sure you think about stuff like position of the sun.

The first section on a location recce form is Things To Take,
This is a tick list of things you need to take and it makes sure you don't forget anything. It includes things like Camera,Phone,Notepad,Brief ext..

The next section is Talking to people
This is things like making sure you have permission to film where you are, Are passes required where you are filming ? the time you can film at the location and how long for, and maybe if there is a certain dress code at your location

The next section is Transport/Access 
This is all about getting your actors and crew to the location and if you have directions to get to your location, if there is vehicle access there, if there are toilettes,

The next section is Camera/Lighting
This is mostly about filming and the lighting of the location, So this is things like the position of the sun, The size of location, is the floor level? Are there smoke alarms/ sprinklers

The next section is Sound 
This is all about the sound and noise at your location, so is it near traffics or road works ? is there air conditioners witch might make a sound, will the weather make a sound e.g. wind ?

The next thing is Things for the director
When you get to the location you need to take some still photos so you remember what it looks like and also see what is looks like through a lens. Also need to think about the type of background the location has and also if there are any events taking place there.

The last thing on the form is Food/accommodation 
This is so you make sure you have food ready for the actors and crew and also make sure if you need it you have accommodation like a hotel
